Bossert, David A., Dali and Disney: Destino: the
Story, Artowrk, and Friendship Behind the Legendary Film. Pgs. 207.
$40.00. INFORMATION.
Salvador Dali and Walt Disney weren’t just gifted artists,
they were good friends. In 1946, they began working together on a short film
that was supposed to be called Destino. Unfortunately, the project was
halted due to Disney’s financial difficulties following World War II. More than
50 years later, Walt’s nephew, Roy Disney, uncovered the buried projects and
brought it to life. This book tells its story, the art Dali and Disney
employee, Robert Hench, created together as well as how Roy digitally brought
it all together.
