Doctor Strange helps out the Avengers when unknown magic is
involved. But he isn’t a friend, and would prefer to be left alone to fight his
own battles. When the odd magic continues Doctor Strange searches for a way to
stop it, he consults his mentor numerous times and an old friend. But when
things spiral completely out of control, he is going to have to make friends
and learn to rely on them if he is to stop his greatest enemy. Filled with full
color illustrations and font variety for added interest to young readers.
I was excited to read this because of the upcoming movie, but
this book is over the top complex and just plain bizarre. There are TONS of characters (at least 20 or more stuffed into 119 pages) and a busy fast paced plot.
It reads like an upper grade fiction, but is formatted like a younger grade
chapter book. I would have to peg this as high interest low reading level book.
Its short but just too challenging for a younger reader.
