Pinkalicious brings
flowers to her teacher at school, but her teacher has an even bigger surprise-a
box with caterpillars in it. The class
learns that the caterpillars are going to grow into butterflies. Pinkalicious feeds her flowers to the
caterpillar and loves it, so when 2 of the 3 caterpillar change into
butterflies, Pinkalicious is worried about her favorite one because he hasn’t
come out of his chrysalis yet.
Eventually he turns into a butterfly too and the best kind because he is
pink.
This is a typical Pinkalicious
story. The illustrations are okay, and
when the butterfly turns pink it makes everything even better. There are stickers in the middle of the
book. The explanations about caterpillars
turning into butterflies was well done. If Pinkalicious is well liked at your library this will be a hit.
