This book is divided into short and simple chapters about the different facets that make up a monster truck: what is a monster truck, monster power, giant tires, built to bounce, and driving the monster. The simple text explains each concept, there are large bright photographs and labels, and color backdrops. Also included are diagrams, fun facts, and a glossary.
This book will be fought over by young readers. I have a group of kindergarteners who are going to be on a wait list for this book. It’s well written, simple enough to read alone for a first grader while not skimping on the information. The cover is appealing, all around a great read to add to your collection on transportation.
