In this book Cub reporter is interviewing famous Native American Sequoyah. He was a member of the Cherokee tribe and a silversmith. He is famous for creating a written version of his language and helping to bring peace to the divided Cherokee tribes.
This man accomplished so much in his lifetime and lived through much war and chaos. It was a very interesting book. I think that even younger grades could easily use this book as a source for a simple report. A teacher could easily use this book, or any book in this series, as a read-aloud. The book includes many maps and images that help bring the events to life.
