This is a story of a girl names Lucy who goes to school. During art class they are asked to draw about their weekend. All the other kids draw and share real things that happened to them. So does Lucy, it just so happens that her weekend involved a pink elephant. The other kids tease her and don’t believe her but the teacher believes in her.
This is a cute story, but I can’t quite grasp the message the author is trying to get across. That some kids really do have real imaginary friends? Teachers should always believe in students? It was a just a bit odd for my taste. Illustrations are quite cute!
