Nearly Boswell is trying to get over the fact
that a serial killer was trying to frame her for murder, she is trying to get
used to the idea that her boyfriend is a narc and she is trying to move on in
life by interning at the local forensic lab.
The problem is that everyone else will not let Nearly move on, and the
past keeps coming back to interfere in her life. Nearly uses her investigative mind to solve
the murder of a girl from her trailer park and in the process she finds out
more about her past.
This is a fast
paced intense thriller. The main
character is smart and fun to cheer for, even if at times she does some things
that are illegal. At first is doesn’t
seem like you need to have read the first book in the series, but towards the
end it would be very confusing if you hadn’t.
The mature content is off page sex and the violence includes
dismemberment. The content makes it so it can't go in a middle school.
HS-ADVISABLE.
Reviewer, C. Peterson.
