Viking Juvenile, 2012.  $16.99.  G- PICTURE BOOK.  Bella is having a terrible day.  She doesn’t like her baby brother.  She doesn’t like her egg.  She wants nothing to do with a play-date or a trip to the market.  She  is loud and irritating to everyone around her.  Yet in spite of her negative behavior, her mother offers her a bedtime story and some cuddle time.  Bella realized her negative day, and apologizes.  Her mom’s response: “We all have those days sometimes, but perhaps you will be more cheerful tomorrow!”  We loved the illustrations and the message behind this great picture book.  Everyone has had “Bella” type days, and nothing sooths those days more than an understanding loved one and a chance for a better tomorrow.  This book could be used with a unit on emotions, manners and families.  ADVISABLE.  Pre-K.  EL (K-3).  Reviewer: SL.
