Mousenet by Prudence Breitrose-ADVISABLE

Breitrose, Prudence, Mousenet. Ill. by Stephanie Yue. Disney Hyperion. 2011. Pgs. 389. Language: G, Violence: G, Sexual Content: G.

Megan’s uncle creates the smallest thumbtop computer. The Big Cheese, leader of the Mouse Nation, tells the mice to follow the girl. They’re overjoyed because every mousehole might be able to get a computer and get connected on the Mousenet. One night, the mice contact her and attempt to set up a treaty with the humans so that they might get some computers. Will they succeed? What will happen when Megan disappears?

The pictures and plot are cute. The main characters are well-developed. Readers who like mice, computers, talking animals, and adventure will enjoy reading this book. EL (4-6), MS. ADVISABLE. Reviewer: Jessica Moody, Library Media Specialist, Olympus Jr. High.
