The Outlaw has terrorized the town – up until the day he
disappears. Months later a stranger
rides into town and helps repair the broken parts of the town – until the day
someone realizes that he is the Outlaw.
Nancy Vo has to have read Shane by Jack Schaefer. This reads like an old-fashioned ode to that
classic book. It continues the great
lesson of look at someone’s deeds and allowing people a chance to grow and
change. The illustrations are spot on.
