Sammy wants to experience all of the spring things he can see and hear happening outside in the warm sun. He rides on his scooter, discovers a family of hedgehogs, and plants in his garden. At the end of the day, he has a dinner of fresh vegetables and bread.
This is a translation of a Dutch book and because of that, some of the language comes off a little clunky. Young readers will love seeing all of the fun things that Sammy does in the new spring weather and will want to do them too. Each spread has a half page in between to show a “before and after” type scene. This is a cute book, but not incredible.
