D-Day was the beginning of the month long battle at Normandy that began the ending of World War II.  This informational picture book explains the main plan behind D-Day and shows some of the side stories of those who were involved.  The book explains the invasion from land, air and sea.   

This is a brief glimpse at the huge event that was D-day.  The book doesn’t just explain the big picture, but also provides stories about some POW’s, nurses, and soldiers who were fighting.  The pictures are photographs and maps and at the end there is a timeline, glossary and list of other places to go for more information.
