Ever wonder what a bug does
all day? Students can brainstorm ideas and then follow along in this
story as they follow Hank, the pill bug, through a typical day. He
eventually meets his human friend, Amelia (who happens to be dressed like
Amelia Earhart), and the two of them embark on an imaginary flight to
Paris.
This book is filled with lots of imagination, and
shows friendship between two unlikely characters. Additional positives
include having a female, person of color as the main character and showcasing a
girl who enjoys playing outside and is not afraid of bugs.
