This book defines what road maps are and what GPS is, what is on
a map, common symbols on maps, how to use road maps and GPS, and a short quiz.
Full of relevant example maps and bright colorful photographs.
This is a wonderful book but most instructors wouldn’t need this
book to teach about maps. In this case, I think there might be a hardy student
or two that would seek out a book on how to use maps or especially GPS (though
this book doesn’t delve too deeply into that). I have a section of Atlases and
Map books, along with some 3D maps of our area, this would work well with that
collection.
