Set in a blues bar on Tel Aviv
beachfront, Mike’s Place is where people can go and grab a beer as long as they
don’t talk about religion or politics. Things take a dark turn, however, when
the bar is the place for a documentary film. Less than a month after they begin
filming, they bar is a target for a suicide bombing. They survive, but at a
price. Can the owners pick up the pieces and survive?
Based off a true story, the story
is true to events. Illustrations are detailed and the text does a great job of
complementing the illustrations. Readers needing to read a non-fiction book or
