This biome book goes through the basics of the Grassland Biome.
It starts with world wide locations. It really differentiates between prairies
and tropical grasslands including plants and animals. This one does a wonderful job explaining how
the various elements of the biome are so important and work together. Includes
fresh modern bright photographs and colorful layouts.
This is a fantastic book. I learned enough about how important
the prairie dogs are that I might have a farmer friend read this book! (She has
specifically mentioned how terrible the prairie dogs are on her family farm). The
information is usable and interesting and the images thoughtfully chosen and
high quality.
