Bunny vs. Monkey by Jamie Smart –OPTIONAL

Smart, Jamie  Bunny vs. Monkey 64 pgs. Scholastic, 2016. $7.99 Content: Language: G (0 swears); Mature Content: G Violence: G GRAPHIC NOVEL
Bunny, Squirrel, and Pig live in a peaceful quiet woodland, getting into their own mischief and fun when something happens that changes their peaceful existence. Mad scientists are trying to send an evil monkey into outer space but it doesn’t make it even close to that far and crashes in the forest. What follows is a long series of 2 page misadventures where the monkey (and sometimes his friends) try to make the forest critters lives miserable, but things don’t always work out that way.
This book is cute and silly without being too goofy and frentic. Its very comic book style with little tiny pictures and little tiny text bubbles. I probably wouldn’t add it to my library because its all silliness and I like them to have a longer plot. I think readers who enjoy this genre would like it a gift.
