After finding secret access to the Underground Railroad and defeating Janitor Lyman, Benjamin, Jill, and Robert thought they were safe. Lyman, however, is back with new tricks and is still determined to destroy the school and turn it into an amusement park. Teamed up with a new assistant, Lyman is trying to manipulate the town’s residents into agreeing with him. Days away from the school being bulldozed and with no idea who to trust, can the trio save their school once again. Will they succeed?

The characters are delightful and engaging. The plot is humorous, suspenseful, and well-paced. Fans of the series or Andrew Clements will enjoy reading this book. Included are discussion questions, writing and research activities, and common core standards applications which make this an ideal addition to one’s classroom or library collection. EL. ESSENTIAL.
