Singer, Marilyn Tallulah’s Tap Shoes Clarion
Books (Houghton Mifflin), 201$16.99 PICTURE
BOOK
Tallulah is already a ballet girl and she’s good at it. But when
she is asked to try Tap dance at summer camp, she discovers what it feels like
to not be the best one in class. Will she ever be able to enjoy tap? Maybe it
will take a special new friend who feels the same way and they can help each
other try new things.
This is a popular character at my library, with lots of cover
appeal, and the Tallulah books are frequently checked out by K-1 girls. This is
a great story about trying new things and appreciating experiences that you are
not good at right away.
