Wickedpedia by Chris VanEtten - ADVISABLE

Cole lost Winnie to Josh, and now might lose his valedictorian status to Winnie because he can’t stop thinking about her. Cole’s master plan to get Winnie back includes making Wikipedia pages for Josh and his accomplices to expose Josh’s cheating. As a joke, Cole also adds in a sentence about their deaths, but no one is laughing when they start coming true. 

I had a hard time trying to rate Wickedpedia’s violence. The deaths that occur are gruesome, but I couldn’t decide if gruesome equals gory. Originally, I marked the violence “R,” but I now think that most of the gore was just me filling in details that the book left out. Nevertheless, this is not a story for the faint of heart, children under the ages of 13½, or for an hour before bedtime.
