Bond, Michael
Paddington Illustrated by R.W.
Alley Harper, 2007 PICTURE BOOK
$17.99 Content: G.
The Browns are at Paddington Station waiting
to pick up their daughter when they see a bear that looks lost. They offer to take him home and help him
figure out what he is going to do, but as he causes some unintended mischief and
messes they wonder what they got themselves into. They are curious about his story, but when he
sits down to explain it to them he falls asleep, too exhausted to explain.
The illustrations in this book are adorable,
but the story is weird. The bear can
talk, but they name him Paddington without asking him what he thought about
it. This book is a million times better than the movie tie-in books that are coming out right now. The bear is cute and the Browns are
nice, but I got to the end and felt like it was missing something.
