Rocket and his teacher, a little yellow bird, are in love with words.   They decide to find words to add to their “word tree”.  As Rocket finds different items like a star, leaf, tree, or bird, he drops them on bird’s command. But when he finds a boot, Rocket will not drop it.  He likes the boot.  Is there anything that will convince Rocket to drop the boot? Read to find out how little yellow bird convinces Rocket to finally release the boot.  With predicable patterns and repetitive words, this is a great early reader.  The illustrations are fun and tell much of the storyline.  Pre-K.
