final work is an elegy for his brother (and perhaps himself) Reminiscent of some of his earlier work
(In the Night Kitchen, Really Rosie) and alluding to Shakespeare’s “A Winter’s
Tale” this illustrated poem is not for children. It’s for the adults who were children and loved Sendak.
