Ada, a
prim and proper English girl, is impossibly in love with a young man from
India. Add in a meddling
stepmother, a conniving stepsister and a maid with sinister designs.
Everyone has a plot, a scheme, a
secret, a liaison. It is quite
overhelming at times. Treat this
like a PG version of an adult romance novel. There is one homosexual theme, but it is extremely PG – all
innuendo, no detail. If a student
isn’t reading carefully, they might not even pick up on it.
