Extreme Babymouse by Jennifer Holm - ESSENTIAL

Holm, Jennifer L.  Extreme Babymouse, 93 pgs.  Random House, 2013.  $6.99  Content: G.

This book is about a mouse named Babymouse, who dreams of being a snowboard champion.  She asks her mom and dad if she can go snowboarding and they said that it costs too much money.  But Babymouse’s dad has an old friend who owns a ski and snowboard resort and she hears that all the kids in her class are going and she sees them there.  Felicia Furrypaws is always mean to Babymouse, but Babymouse ends up doing something better than Felicia on the snowboard.

I liked this book because Babymouse is always daydreaming and she always has big dreams and big hopes.  Her whiskers are never straight and people make fun of her, but she always does what she likes anyway.  Her best friend, Weasel Wilson, is always nice and always make her feel like she can do anything and makes her happy.  Everyone should read this book because there are funny parts and the pictures are good.  It is a graphic novel.

EL (4-6)-ESSENTIAL.  Reviewer, Isabelle P., age 9.
