After their kooky neighbor Petty Potts turned the twins, Danny and Josh, into spiders in book #1,
they are avoiding her! The boys are just trying to help their mom win a
gardening contest when someone ruins all her hard work with vandalism. The
boys suspect their other neighbor Mrs. Sharpe, but looks like they are going to
have to “be a fly on the wall” as Petty puts it, if they want to find out for
sure!
What a great
series to get bug interested boys into reading some chapter books. The author does
a great job writing about the experience, and dangers, of being a bug! The
characters are well defined and interesting. Can stand as a read alone. This is
a series I am going to pick up, students will love this. If the covers were a
bit more dynamic and well created, this would have been essential.
