PICTURE BOOK.This is the delightful tale of a spider who fancies himself in love with a butterfly. He gives up eating insects in order to prove his devotion and lure her to him. The writing is lyrical and fun to read, and several of the lines are laugh-out-loud funny. The whimsical illustrations are the perfect complement to the text. Would make a wonderful read-aloud, though the ending may need a little explaining since it is very subtle.
