Sam Visits the School Library by Martha Rustad -ADVISABLE

Rustad, Martha Sam Visits the School Library, 24 pages.  NON-FICTION. Millbrook (Lerner), 2018.  $20.

This book is about a boy named Sam who visits the school library with his class. With the help of the librarian, the students research on computers, choose books, and get put on waiting lists for popular books. He learns that students can read in different ways, like audiobooks. When its time to go, the students know to bring back their book in one week. Large colorful illustrations.

This book is a great addition to a library collection, I could see reading this book to Kindergarten and first grade classes during the first week of school. There are lots of books about libraries, but not so many that are specific to school libraries.  The images are large enough to share with a large group. My favorite part was the information apples, which gave facts like sometimes the library is called the Media Center.
