Steel, Danielle. Pretty Minnie in Hollywood, PICTURE. Doubleday, 2016. $17.99. Minnie is a teeny tiny, teacup-sized chihuahua. She lives with her owner, Francoise, in Paris. Francoise’s mother gets to travel to Hollywood to deliver a dress she has designed and the whole family, including Minnie, gets to go too! They fly in a plane, stay in a fancy hotel, go sightseeing and swim in the pool. The best part, is that Minnie gets to star in a movie when the leading dog starts acting up. Minnie loves being pampered, but she and Francoise love being home in Paris best of all. This is the second book in a series about Minnie, Danielle Steel’s real-life dog. The illustrations in this book are fabulous. The storyline is pretty basic, without too much going on, but readers who love dogs and some of the fancier things in life, will enjoy this book.
