This book explores Sleepy Dog's day from being licked awake by his mother, to eating breakfast, to spilling his milk, to playing with the cat. The large font, simple word choice, repetitive language, and colorful illustrations are geared for newer readers. Unfortunately, the story itself is less than memorable and not nearly dynamic enough to keep many students engaged.
