A little girl is off on her first bus trip alone. She accepts gifts from strangers, shares her food with a young wolf, tells him where she lives, and confronts a pickpocket. Then its time to get off the bus.
This books features a very long rectangular shape which creatively mimics the inside of a bus. The illustrations are done in subdued soft colors with sweet looking animal characters. There are a lot of things to look at and see as different passengers get on and off the bus, move around, read the newspaper, and more. This story was really odd and frankly quite boring. I wouldn’t want to share it with a youngster and give them the idea that its ok to confront a criminal on their own or tell strangers where they live.
