Damian Wayne is Batmans son, when he decides to pick up his villain mom some flowers for Mother’s day, he ends up fighting some junior villains. Then he tries to help a friend find his long lost mother. In the next section, on fathers day, a crowded restaurant leads the good guys into having to share a table with the bad guys, but in the face of a common enemy that find common ground. The end of a book contains a glossary, discussion questions, and writing prompts.
The books aren’t numbered, so I am not sure where this book falls in the series, but it was for sure not a stand alone, Without the backstory or some foundation, I just didn’t get who the characters were for the most part. The art style is so watery that I had trouble telling the difference between characters at all, even in scenes where they made multiple appearances. The mother’s day plot would be interesting to upper elementary but the father days plot was better for middle school readers. I wouldn’t add this series to my library collection.
