Lee, Stan Zodiac Legacy: Convergence, with Stuart Morre and Andie Tong. 480 p. Disney,
2015. $18. Language: G; Mature Content: G; Violence:
PG-13 (lots of fighting, some bloody).
Bored to tears during a trip to a museum during a school
trip to Hong Kong, Steven Lee leaves his group when he hears a cry of
pain. Little does he know, but
investigating those cries will change him and his life forever, putting him
smack into the middle of an epic conflict.
Maxwell, the president of Vanguard has been planning for years to usurp
the powers of the zodiac and infuse them into his own operatives. He is betrayed, however, by two of his
own. And poor Steven is caught in the
crossfire – and also captures a power.
Besides Steven’s, four other powers have evaded Maxwell and he has
enough money, enough power to do whatever to takes to retrieve them – and by
that he means killing Steven and the others so that he can give the powers to
those he deems worthy.
Breathless action, lots of fighting scenes and excellent
comic art. This will find a life of its
own, even if it didn’t have Stan Lee’s name on it.
