This is a collection of short
poems by Children’s Poet Laureate J. Patrick Lewis. While not specific to a subject, it’s fun, sometimes funny
and often sweet. Lewis
demonstrates his ability with different types of poems, and the illustrations
by Matthew Cordell complement the text.
All the poems are appropriate for the very young, but I would recommend
this collection to upper elementary as a fun read aloud or even something to
memorize.
