Carlos is a
fabulous teenager in New York City
who wants to be a makeup artist more than anything. He's good at it, too.
When he finally lands a job at the makeup counter at Macy's he thinks
his dreams have come true, but how far will he go, and what will he risk to
keep those dreams alive?
This
Stonewall Book award winner is a fun read. Carlos is a strong individual whose poor choices come more
from desperation than stupidity.
There is some violence and bullying but the descriptions are not
graphic.
