This book has no story and it is not an abecedarian, though one
word or phrase on each page accompanies Jay’s gorgeous illustrations – I
actually wish there were NO words, instead of the few that there are, so that I
could just appreciate a wordless holiday wonder instead. I love Jay’s crackle-varnish style, so
I will keep it, but it is not a favorite.
