BOOK.
Louis and his sister, Sara,
went out to ride bikes in the forest. Louis is eaten whole by a monster. Then, just as his sister tries to
rescue him, the monster is eaten by another monster, etc, etc, etc. In the end, Sara rescues her brother
with a “Hiccup Frog”. The monsters
all run away at his “Get away from my sister or I’ll eat you up”.
In this small graphic story, the
monsters are cute and have fun names. It may be fun for a little boy who enjoys
monsters, but the story was too simplistic and trite for my picture book
taste.
