Can You See What I See? Out
of This World. Scholastic,
2013. $13.99 PICTURE BOOK Content: G.
This is a I Spy-type book with colorful
pictures taken of various toys, so the reader has to search the pictures to
find the hidden items. Each page
has a list of items to be found, sometimes multiple numbers of a similar
object. The pictures in this book
show a princess in a castle who finds a glass ball in which she can see a
robot, and the robot in turn can use time travel to visit the princess in her
castle. In this quirky mix of
princesses and robots young children will enjoy studying the different pictures
to find hidden objects. Also by
using princesses and robots I think both boys and girls will find the book
interesting. My boys
love I spy books, and they don’t really care if the book has a storyline, or if
the pictures are a little wacky, such as mixing princesses and robots, they
mostly just like to find the list of objects. This book doesn’t disappoint because it has bright and
colorful pictures packed with many different shapes, toys and items for young
explorers to find.
