The little acorn has grown into a beautiful young oak
tree. When she sees older trees of
different varieties, she gets a little jealous and tries to be something she
isn’t. It is only when she finds a new
purpose, sheltering a nest of bird eggs, that she realizes that what she can
offer is even better than just good enough.
Is it bad of me to say I was pleasantly surprised how good
this little self-published picture book is?
Lentino’s heart-felt story is sweet and tender. It would be a fitting replacement for a book
like The Giving Tree or The Best Nest.
