Language: G; Mature Content: G; Violence: PG (some gore).
Callum has fled his home because he thinks his father has
something nasty planned for him. After
spending the last days of summer vacation with Tamara’s family, he feels safe
back at the Magesterium – that is until Tamara betrays his father’s plan to
steal the Alkahest, which has the power to push the power to control Chaos out
of the Makar, to the Masters. Even though the friends are now not speaking to
each other, when Call hears that the Alkahest is missing and decides to go
after it and his father, Tamara and Aaron go with him. The Magesterium is in hot pursuit and the
trio have only a short time to find Call’s father and return the Alkahest.
Did not see this direction coming – excellent. I love it when an author (in this case
authors) is clever enough to fool me and surprise me in a great way.
