Arista was pulled from the orphanage at the tender age fo 5
and raised to be a thief. Older now, she
passes as a lady, but really only mixes with the social elite in order to take
their payments in order to keep her boss/owner from revealing their secrets. Nic, her best friend, has always been at her
side, but their desires for the future seem to be going in different
directions. When Lady A, as Arista is
known to the ton, meets a handsome gentleman one night, she knows that she
wants out of this life, however she has to accomplish it.
Tangled Webs has all of the hallmarks if a Victorian romance
without the graphic mature content usually present. I loved reading about the intrigue and the
glitter – as some of my female students say, it has the right amount of
scandalous.
