Waking up from his coma, Callum finds the
present incongruent with what he remembers. After waking up he is expected to
play football and steal whiskey while his old friends act as if they never met.
To top off all this confusion, some mystery guy keeps showing up with threats.
What is going on?
I liked this book, but only after dragging myself through the
first 200 pages--that's when it got interesting. The beginning of the book was
frustrating for me because nothing was making sense and the chapters would
randomly switch from the present to the past. However, once things got
interesting it was fun to read about how Callum figured things out. I think
sometimes we all feel out of place and lost, what I got out of Callum's story
is the encouragement to live your life doing what you think is right and what
you love. Don't try and live someone else's life.
