Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater - ADVISABLE

Stiefvater, Maggie  Blue Lily, Lily Blue (Raven Boys, #3), 391 pgs.  Scholastic Press, 2014.  $18.99

Content: Language: R (75 swears; 19 "F") Mature Content: PG-13; Violence: PG-13.

Blue’s mother Maura is missing and Blue’s Raven Boys are trying to help Blue find her among the ley line where they believe that Maura is trapped.  Ronan and Adam are starting to figure out the limits of their connection to the magical Cabeswater and also facing down Ronan’s fathers killer, the Greenmantle, before the Greenmantle can awaken the Raven king.  The characters all work together to save each other and uncover the mystical powers of the Raven king.

With all of the story lines working together, this book doesn’t disappoint.  The characters are fantastic and the writing style draws the reader in.  I adore the audiobook reader, Will Patton, who does a fantastic job.   There is supposed to be one more in the series and I can’t wait to read more about the characters that I have fallen in love with.  The swearing is frustrating because it makes it hard to recommend.  If I could I would have it be essential despite the “F” words.
