In 1941, 10-year-old Joseph and Maurice had a hard life.

for the two to leave. Their father gave them 10,000 franc and told them to
travel to the free zone of southern France. Thus began a dangerous journey by
train, foot, and horse and buggy. Through courage and wits, the two brothers
stayed one step ahead of the Nazis.
