Mr. Panda has a tray of doughnuts,
which he is offering to give away. Though he offers, he refuses each
animal because of their rude replies, until one animal asks “please”. The
illustrations are the saving grace for this book, but the actual plot left me
cold. I would love to rewrite this with my own words, because I love the
panda and the rest of the animals. Yes, this is a book about the
importance of being polite and using your words, but there are too many other
books that do a more skillful job of the lesson.
