Originally a
kick starter project, looks like this book is available as an e-book only at
this point. This is a collection of short illustrated stories by Jake Parker,
author of Missile Mouse, a favorite at my elementary library. Hugo Earhart is a
little boy who is secretly a message deliverer, via a flying whale! There is
always some trouble, but luckily Hugo is brave and creative. Antler boy is a
fairy tale about a young boy who does a good deed, resulting in an unexpected
gift. Lucy Nova is planet explorer with a knack for getting into some very
dangerous situations.
I really enjoyed
this collection of stories. The artwork is top notch, even across a variety of
styles. I really wanted to read more about Hugo Earhart, should be a whole
series. Students would enjoy these stories, they are fun and interesting.
