When her grandfather and brother
die, Mackenzie Bishop becomes the youngest Keeper of the afterlife, known as
the Archives. Each body that enters the Archives contains the Histories of the
Dead. As some awaken, they have to stop them from getting back to the real
world and into the Archives. When bodies start awakening more frequently,
MacKenzie realizes that some is tampering with the Archives and try to kill off
all of the librarians by releasing the bodies back into the world. Can
MacKenzie find whoever is doing it before it’s too late?
The characters are likable,
well-developed, and easy to sympathize with. The plot is well-developed,
intense, and unique with lots of plot twists. A must-read for mystery, fantasy,
