Eliza's vacation in Paris falls to pieces when her mother puts her into
a boarding school. All is not lost, however, when Eliza discovers that two
famous girls her age are also studying there: Caroline and Hortense. Eliza
intends to learn a lot from her peers by sticking close to them, but she
becomes a part of more than she intended to as the girls keep secrets and sneak
around for each's own profit.
Reading this story was hard. I liked the set up
of going through different girls' perspectives, but I didn't like the girls.
all of the girls are very self-centered and rude as they try very hard to make
young men fall in love with them. The whole scenario is an oxymoron in my eyes,
so I couldn't help but be frustrated by the girls and, thus, with the book.
Furthermore, it has a terrible ending.
