Cucumbers dad is determined that he is the hero needed to
save Dreamside. Cucumber knows that his sister, Almond is way more heroic and
tough. They end up together trying find the Dream Sword. In the meantime, the
evil Queen Cordelia is getting even more powerful. Filled with bright, ultra
cartoony, sort of anime style illustrations.
I did not enjoy this book at all. Its super cheesy, with
lots of farce, sarcasm, and a high level of just plain goofiness –none of which
I found in the least bit funny. Its hard to buy into a silly plot when even the
characters are pointing out the flaws. I thought it was confusing and crowded
and a bit too nonsensical for me to stand behind if I purchased it for the library
collection.
