Since her brother died, Samara has been discontented with
her life as one of the Knowing. With the
help of her Outsider maid, Samara has been venturing outside. But the day comes when she realizes that
someone knows about her adventures and her life is now in danger. Beckett has travelled across the universe
with she scientist parents and a large crew of space farers. He is doing a bit of minor exploring with his
partner, Joanna, when a bad accident puts them out of range of help from the
ship. When Samara and Beckett meet, each
with their life-altering secrets, more than one world will be affected.
I am not sure how this connects with the first book in the
series. I am not even going to try to
speculate. Either book could be read as
a stand alone, but I have a feeling that the third book will bring everything
together nicely. The concept of Knowing
and the secrets that everyone involved are keep make for a reading treat.
